Dr Susie Jacob

Dr Susie Jacob graduated in 2004 from Newcastle University and completed her foundation training in the
North East. Following this, she moved to Yorkshire to undertake general Obstetrics and
Gynaecology training. Keen to widen my horizons, she undertook three years of clinical research
focussing on those with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome undergoing IVF and gained a Medical
Doctorate from Leeds University. She is now a subspecialty trainee in Reproductive medicine
here at Leeds. She really enjoys the patient interactions within the fertility clinics.

She believes that having the privilege to join and assist people along the journey to parenthood is truly rewarding. Day to day, she undertakes fertility clinics, performs laparoscopic operations, IVF procedures and
scanning. Dr Jacob works on the acute gynaecology ward at St James University Hospital dealing with
early pregnancy complications and gynaecological problems and also Labour ward, where she
delivers babies by caesarean section or instrumental delivery where needed.

She lives in Leeds with my husband and little boy,  plus Archie, a friendly black cat. When possible
she likes to get out into the country and enjoy running ("when fit - which I am often not!").
