Dr Harish Bhandari
Sub-Specialist in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery
Dr Harish Bhandari is a Consultant Gynaecologist and an Accredited Sub-specialist in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and holds an Honorary Senior Lecturer post at the University of Leeds. As well as assisted conception and reproductive and benign gynaecology surgery, he has special clinical and research interests in recurrent miscarriage, recurrent implantation failure and endometrial immunology. He is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education.
Dr Bhandari graduated (MBBS) in 1999 from Karnatak Medical College, India and then worked as a Doctor in the Indian Army for 5 years before relocating to the UK in 2004. He successfully completed post-graduate training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from various district general and tertiary hospitals in the UK. He became a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) in 2010.
Additionally, he has undertaken three years clinical research fellowship in Reproductive Medicine at Centre for Reproductive Medicine, Coventry and University of Warwick and was awarded Doctorate of Medicine (MD) by the University of Warwick for research work evaluating the effects of obesogenic environment on peri-implantation endometrium.
Dr Bhandari also undertook two years RCOG-accredited sub-specialty Training in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery from Newcastle Fertility Centre at Life.
